Breaking: Man held in connection with murder of Ashling Murphy has been released




It is being reported this evening that a man who was being held in connection with the murder of Ashling Murphy in County Offaly has been released.

According to RTE, Gardai released a statement that said the man has been “eliminated from Garda enquiries.”

They have also confirmed that he is no longer a suspect.

Since the body of the 23-year-old was found, Gardai have reassured the public that they will do everything possible to find the person responsible for her murder, confirmed that “no stone will be left unturned” in the hunt for her killer.

Earlier today Gardai said that they are keeping an open mind regarding the investigation.  They also asked the public to contact them if they have any information about a Falcon Storm Mountain Bike that has straight handlebars and yellow/green front forks.
