In what can only be described as literally laughing at the Irish public, the Taoiseach Micheal Martin has brazenly said that he’ll go to America for St Patrick’s Day, if asked, despite the Ireland being on full lockdown.
Martin made the comments when announcing to the nation that he’s decided that heavy lockdown restrictions are going to last until Easter.
Martin was speaking on RTE’s Morning Ireland and said that all foreign travel must stop but that he himself will go to America for St Patrick’s Day if he can work it out.
It’s not yet known what sort of reaction the public will have if Martin does indeed go to America while the rest of us are stuck to 5k, but one can only imagine that Fianna Fail will get it in the neck at the next election.
