The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that heavy lockdown restrictions are going to last until Easter.
Martin was speaking on RTE’s Morning Ireland and said that schools and construction are the government’s priority and that there will be a very very slow reopening for general society.
He said that all foreign travel must stop but that he himself will go to America for St Patrick’s Day if he can work it out.
Martin said that Leaving Cert students will know their fate next week but that the rest of society needs to sit tight until Easter, which if the first week of April.
