The Labour party leader Alan Kelly has said that the Taoiseach should go on the annual St Patrick’s Day visit to the US if it is possible.
Speaking to RTE News, Kelly said that the Taoiseach should consider going on the trip if he is invited and if it is safe to do so.
However the Labour party leader warned that it is too early to be talking about the trip and stated that Mr Martin may not get invited as we are in the middle of a pandemic.
He added that the issue needs to be discussed closer to the date in question and any invitation should be considered as it is such an important thing.
