Numerous people are believed to be injured and at least one dead in what authorities are describing as a “extremely serious incident”.
German police have confirmed to Reuters that one person has been killed in the incident but as of yet have not confirmed whether it is terrorism or not.
The market stalls were knocked over and people are said to be lying on the ground.
It is still unclear as to whether the incident was an accident or if it was deliberate but one on looker said it was definitely the latter:
“He seemed to speed up rather than try and hit the brakes”.
