Authorities in Malaysia have sadly confirmed in the past few minutes that the body of a teenage girl found earlier today is that of missing teenager Nóra Quoirin.
In an announcement Negri Sembilan Police chief Mohamed Mat Yusop confirmed that the body found on Tuesday is that of missing tourist Nóra Quoirin.
The devastating news comes after the body was found near a stream approximately 2km away from where the family were staying.
According to RTÉ News, Nóra’s family have since confirmed that the body is that of their missing daughter.
It has been reported that body was taken to a nearby hospital and Nóra’s family identifified her after a post-mortem examination.
Police say they are continuing to investigate Nóra’s death and have requested that her family be given privacy at this time.
