A Metropolitan policeman who has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and murdering Sarah Everard has been rushed to hospital after he was found collapsed in his cell, it’s been reported.
According to the Sun, 48-yr-old Wayne Couzens was found unconscious and had suffered head injuries.
It’s understood that there is no suggestion anyone else was involved in the incident.
The newspaper reports that he has since been discharged after being treated in the hospital.
Met Police said: ‘The suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment to a head injury sustained while in custody.’
They have given no further update on his condition.
