The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar was speaking on Thursday night’s Primetime and announced that the government plan on locking down the hospitality sector from Monday December 28th.
Originally, the government had planned on locking down the country again from January 6th, but that is now being brought forward as Tony Holohan and NPHET were troubled by covid case numbers exceeding 400.
It’s not yet known about other sectors, but it’s likely that non essential retail will remain open.
