It’s very, very bad for Labour’s Joan Burton in Election 2020.
She performed very very badly in the General Election with far fewer votes she needs for the quota on the first count.
Many will remember how hard Joan Burton pushed for Irish Water to be imposed on the Irish people even leading to her being “imprisoned” in her own car in Jobstown, Dublin.
Aged 71, it’s highly unlikely that Burton will ever be back in the Dail following this election.
