The High Court has dismissed the legal challenge presented to it from investigative journalist Gemma O’Doherty and author John Waters.
The two had fronted a challenge to the State over its stringent lockdown restrictions and whether they were legally allowed in a Constitutional context or not.
Today, however, Judge Charles Meehan electronically dismissed the challenge citing no sworn affidavit or scientific facts.
Costs are to be decided at a later date as Gemma O’Doherty and John Waters can still appeal the verdict.
