Covid-19: People travelling to Spain will be forced to maintain a 14-day quarantine for the foreseeable future

Any hopes of a late-summer holiday in the sunny shores of Spain appear to have been dashed, as the Spanish Government has just issued a directive that inbound passengers must observe a 14-day quarantine upon arriving in the country.

The new rule will be enforced from May 15 and remain in place for the foreseeable future.

The revelation comes the day after Ryanair announced its intention to have at least 14 percent of its flights up in the air by early July.

A similar quarantine rule was introduced in the UK in recent days.
