President Donald Trump is facing one of the toughest battles of his political life after the House of Representatives voted to impeach him on both charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress after a very long debate.
President Trump has called the entire debacle a complete and utter “witch hunt” but nevertheless, he’ll have to come out swinging in an effort to stay in office. Republicans are hopeful that he’ll have enough numbers in the Senate but rumours are rife that the likes of Mitt Romney could vote against President Trump is his second most important vote of his life.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has allegedly already told insiders that nothing will come of the impeachment and that it’s just the Democrats small way of trying to affect President Trump’s chances of getting re-elected in 2020.
