
A man in his 70s died following a single-vehicle collision in County Tipperary on Sunday.
The incident happened around 2:15pm on the R660 road in Holycross, where the car he was driving crashed. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency services, including gardaÃ, attended the incident. His remains were later taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination.
No other people were injured in the crash. Gardaà carried out a technical examination of the scene, after which the road reopened.
Authorities are appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage or other relevant information, to contact gardaÃ.
