According to reports top medical scientists in the UK believe they may have found vaccine that could help cure those who suffer from the most severe form of breast cancer .

The new vaccine will apparently help thousands of women who get diagnosed with “triple negative” breast cancer. It is believed that 12% of the population get diagnosed with the severe illness each year. According to Prof Graham Pockley from the Nottingham research the potentially life saving drug will be available for trials in two years. Mr Pockley said: “It’s huge. It would save women.” The new vaccine could be introduced to save thousands of lives, as triple negative breast cancer does not respond to hormone therapy or cancer drugs which are used to tackle less severe forms of the illness.

The potentially life saving vaccine was developed by British scientists after they discovered a protein called HAGE in sufferers’ tumours, the protein has been linked to the presence of immune cells that can attack the cancer. Scientists now believe the rare protein could be stimulated to produce antibodies which would in turn fight the killer disease. They say if they can successfully harness the reaction they could successfully produce a new cancer-beating vaccine.
