As each day goes by, it’s looking more and more likely that the UK are going have a hard Brexit, possibly meaning a border on the island of Ireland once more.
This time however, it would be the EU that would be imposing the border via the Taoiseach of Ireland Leo Varadkar.
According to the European Union, Britain has still not offered any workable alternatives to the backstop in the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement. This was after lengthy talks between the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Johnson is still adament that he can secure a deal but as the days go by, that’s looking increasingly unlikely.
