It seems as though the 2019 Autumn is here to stay as both temps and dry conditions are to plummet over the coming days.
Met Eireann, the national forecaster is predicting blustery, thundery showers and cold temperatures for most of the week and into the weekend.
Monday will start bring and sunny enough, with just scattered showers across many areas of the country and temperatures of up to 17C.
Tuesday will see a marked change in the weather, with more frequent showers and strong winds towards evening and during the night, and the possibility of thunder and hail in places.
Wednesday and Thursday will be drier overall, but wet and significantly colder weather is forecast to make a return in time for the weekend.
