The British Met Office is predicting that this New Year’s Eve might be the warmest on record, as the thermometer is expected to hit an unseasonable 15C.
The previous record was hit in 2011, as thermometers registered 14.8C on the last day of the year.
The UK’s average temperature on New Year’s Eve is 7-8C.
