British PM Boris Johnson may take Covid-19 vaccine on live TV

The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson may take Pfizer and BioNtech’s Covid-19 vaccine on live TV.

According to Sky News, the Prime Minister’s press secretary Allegra Stratton said that she wouldn’t rule out the prospect of the Prime Minister taking the vaccine live on national television in order to increase uptake.

Stratton’s comments come after Labour party leader Sir Keir Stamer urged the Prime Minister to do everything he can to discourage vaccine misinformation.

Speaking about Johnson’s approach to tackle such misinformation Stratton said: “We all know the character of the prime minister, I don’t think it would be something that he would rule out.”

“But what we also know is that he wouldn’t want to take a jab that should be for somebody who is extremely vulnerable, clinically vulnerable, and who should be getting it before him.”
