Going down to the local for a few beers might soon be a thing of the past, as British pubs might have to charge £20 a pint to remain viable, according to reports.
Pub operators are reporting that their own bills have skyrocketed by 500-600% in some cases, which means that landlords would need to charge exorbitant amounts of money for a single pint just to keep the business afloat.
Many pubs might have to reduce their opening hours or close for good altogether as these costs are unsustainable.
