At least five people have sadly lost their lives after a tour bus crashed on a Californian highway.
The incident happened shortly before 3:30am, local time, on State Route 99, between the cities of Atwater and Livingston, as the bus headed from Southern California to Sacramento.
It is understood the vehicle veered of course and collided with a highway exit sign at speed. The sign almost tore the bus in half.
There were about 30 people on board, with five fatalities reported and many more injured.
