According to reports this morning the Cabinet sit down later toady discuss accepting the latest Garda pay deal.
It is understood that the Finance Minister Michael Noonan and the Minister for Public Expenditure Paschal Donohoe will discuss where the extra funding will be allocated from after accepting the latest Labour Court ruling.
However any pay deal is likely to cause controversy as other public sector unions, will also seek to have their pay restored.
