Campaign launched to de-fund RTE and to stop people having to pay licence fee

The recent shameful broadcast accusing God of rape by Ireland’s taxpayer funded national broadcaster, RTE has angered many. One concerned Irish person has decided enough is enough and started a national campaign to allow RTE/TV licence fee payers to opt-out of funding RTE on grounds of conscientious objection.

This is not just about Christians being offended or harassed. It’s about all taxpayers who disagree with RTE on Issues such as news bias for instance. Just look back at the recent US elections. Was there even one negative news report about Biden? Whilst Trump received negative reporting on an almost daily basis.

Organiser Thomas Doherty told The Liberal:
“I do not agree with RTE Ideologies and bias they promote. I should not be forced to fund broadcasting I do not agree with. I’m asking all good Irish people to sign this petition and help kick start an end to forced funding of broadcasters that offend and harass us. The time is now to make a stand. If we do nothing, RTE and others will only get worse.”

If you want to join the campaign, you can do so by signing the petition here.
