A car caught fire on the northbound lane of the M50 motorway, just after Junction 7.
Several units from the Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene. Visibility on the area was reduced for a time due to a large plume of smoke drifting from the car.
Gardai have confirmed all lanes are now clear, though emergency services remain on the hard shoulder.
