Motorists are warned to be watchful this morning, as dense fog has settled in parts of the country this morning.
Met Éireann has issued an orange weather warning, adding that fog will descend in the midlands and east, with patches of heavy fog also detected in Waterford and Cork.
Some inbound flights in Dublin airport have been affected, but departures are reportedly running as scheduled.
Temperatures today may rise to between 9 and 13 degrees. There will also be heavy fog tonight and the thermometer will mark below freezing.
