Swedish carmaker Volvo has announced that all cars manufactured from 2020 will include speed-limitation technology that will set a 112mph cap.
The company says that the measure will help reduce accidents, as drivers will no longer be able to take their vehicles to the current top speed of 155mph that some models can attain.
Volvo is the first company to introduce such measure, as it believes that excessive speed is a common factor in both fatal and non-fatal accidents.
