Cat burglar – A cat breaks into a prison and has to be rescued when it gets caught in a fence

We’ve all heard of people who break out of prison but it was case of a prison break-in for one cat.

According to the Metro, Padfoot the cat broke into a prison in the UK only to get stuck on a 25-foot fence.

The RSPCA had to be called to rescue poor Padfoot who is said to have been terrified and almost too afraid to co-operate with his rescuers. Martyn Fletcher, an inspector with the RSPCA told the Metro:
“I have no idea how he managed to get so far inside the prison and so high up the fence.”

He is said to have almost fallen three times during the rescue effort, which involved ladders and a pole to help him reach safety.

The story has a happy ending, as Padfoot made it home to his owner, Angela Driver Swales in time for Christmas, landing on her doorstep on Christmas Eve.

She now says that Padfoot, who has a habit of wandering from home, will be getting a microchip in the New Year so that she can keep track of him – and make sure he stays out of prison in the future!
