Sickening: Family’s house burgled when they were over at relative’s house for Christmas dinner

In what must be one of the most heartbreaking crimes of the year, one family in the UK had their Christmas almost ruined when a gang of ruthless criminals burgled their house while the family were out at a dinner with relatives.

According to the Sun, the home Sophie Flowers shares with her partner Shaun Davis and two young children Harry and George, was targeted by thieves while they were having Christmas Day dinner with Sophie’s father.

The horrifying discovery was made when the family returned to their home, only to find that a number of items had been stolen, including and Xbox, two laptops, an electric drill, two money boxes and an iPad. A car otisde the house was also stolen.

Even sadder was the theft of a number of presents which were waiting for Shaun’s daughter Bella who was due to come for Christmas on St. Stephen’s Day.

But the story has a happy ending as local good Samaritan and tattoo artist Jason, heard about the situation. Out of kindness, he delivers gifts to families in need at Christmas, and he was happy to help out and give presents to the family to replace the ones that were stolen.

Jason told the Sun:
“There were a couple of families who were burgled on Christmas Eve as well. It happens every year. You are always going to get wrong-doers but it’s nice to be able to give people presents. I enjoy it, it’s what Christmas is all about.”

It just goes to show – even though there are some scrooges around at Christmas time, you’ll also run into a real-life Santy Claus or two.
