Hollywood celebrities such as Alyssa Milano are having to back track on their mantra of “Believe Women” after the Democratic nominee for US President Joe Biden faces mounting evidence of past sexual misconduct with some of his vulnerable female staff members.

During Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign and the appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court celebrities reached unprecedented heights of hysteria over rude comments by Trump regarding women and uncorroborated accusations against a teenage Kavanaugh.

At the time of these events the #metoo and “Believe Women” movements were weaponised for political purposes but now that more women have come forward to corroborate the accusations of sexual misconduct and assault against Joe Biden they are being forced into an embarrassing U-turn.

Tara Reade accused Joe Biden of sexually assaulting her in 1993 when she managed interns in Washington DC when he was a senator and her neighbour Lynda LaCasse has confirmed Reade told her of the assault at the time saying:

“He kind of put her up against a wall. And he put his hand up her skirt and he put his fingers inside her”.

The corroborated accusations that Biden forcefully penetrated Reade, who was in her 20s at the time, are scandalous but major media outlets are refusing to give it coverage for fears they will hurt the former Vice President’s chances of defeating Donald Trump in this November’s general election.
