Gardai were out en force throughout Good Friday, and Kildare was no exception.
Five hundred motorists were breathalysed there, and two were arrested during a busy day on the roads.
One driver also tested positive for cannabis.
The operation led to five vehicles being seized.
Gardai have reminded motorists that roads will be thoroughly policed during the Easter period.
