The Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has said that the latest developments in regards to Covid-19 vaccine’s are encouraging.
Speaking at the National Public Health Emergency Team briefing Dr Holohan said that the latest results from Oxford University and AstraZeneca were encouraging and gives us hope.
However despite describing the news as hopeful, Holohan warned that Ireland would have to wait until the European Medicine Agency approves any vaccine candidates before they are distributed here.
