The Chief Medical officer Dr Tony Holohan has said that the Covid-19 restrictions may be eased once virus behaves in a way we would like it to.
Dr Holohan’s comments come after latest figures have suggested that Ireland has moved towards flattening the curve of the virus.
However Holohan reiterated that there is a still long way to go in terms of dealing with the outbreak and that it’s too early to predict when we reach the peak of the virus.
He added he is optimistic that social distancing measures have worked but warned they will likely remain in place after Easter.
