Skeletal remains found in Swords Co Dublin are believed to date back to the 15th century according to expert anthropologists.
The remains which were found near the Ward River on Monday, initially saw a Garda investigation launched.
However following the consultation with a leading anthropologist Gardai say it is no longer a Garda matter and the handling of the remains have since been transferred to The National Museum of Ireland.
