Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan says young people have had their lives changed in every way




The Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has said that the current Covid-19 pandemic has led to young people shouldering a huge burden.

Speaking on RTE’s The Late Late Show on Friday night, Dr Holohan said that he is fully aware of the impacts of the pandemic has had on young people.

Holohan told host Ryan Tubridy that he is aware as he is the parent of an 18 year old and a 20 year old.

The Chief Medical Officer told Tubridy that young people have had to sacrifice a lot over the last seven months which has impacted their social lives.

Holohan told the programme that young people have to deal with a significant change as the impact of the pandemic has seen their lives change in almost every way as they are unable to socialise and meet up with friends as normal.
