China say they expect to begin mass Covid-19 vaccine output at the end of this year




A vaccine to combat the spread of Covid-19 could b produced by the end of the year Chinese authorities have claimed.

According to Bloomberg, the Chinese State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission has stated that it could produce the vaccine by the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021.

It is understood the vaccine which is being produced by Beijing Institute of Biological Products and China National Biotec Group Co Beijing has passed phase two of testing.

Bloomberg reports that the Assets Supervision and Administration Commission has claimed that in the region of 100 to 120 million vaccines could be produced each year.

Although the vaccine has yet to pass phase three of testing, Chinese officials have previously stated that they will share all information on any potential vaccine with the rest of the world.
