According to released documents first reported by BuzzFeed News the CIA was aware that at least 10 members of its staff allegedly committed sex crimes against children, though only one employee was ever prosecuted.

America’s Central Intelligence Agency has been racked with scandals for decades from its cooperation with organized crime, accusations of involvement in the murder of President Kennedy, importation and sale of hard drugs to fund illegal, secret wars to its failure to foresee the collapse of the USSR or prevent the 9/11 attacks, but the horrifying new revelations are likely to illicit one of the most visceral reactions from the public.

According to internal CIA reports dating from 2004 to 2019 accessed by BuzzFeed through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests one CIA employee had “inappropriate sexual activity with an unidentified two-year-old girl” and confessed to having sexual relations with a six-year-old.

The man was fired but never prosecuted.

Another employee allegedly bought pornographic films depicting young girls, while another claimed to have viewed thousands of sexually explicit images of children, according to the documents. These employees also were not charged with any crimes the Daily Caller reports.

Other CIA employees were found to have downloaded extreme child pornography using government Wi-Fi but the agency did not pursue criminal charges.
