Whilst it may be looking a lot like Christmas, it is also looking a lot like compulsory vaccinations in the near future for the Irish community.

Coercion by governments around the world to get citizens to take a covid vaccine have failed. Take, Romania, only 36% of citizens there are vaccinated.

Here in Ireland this week, the government further increased the coercion by banning Vaccine hesitant citizens from health clubs and gyms even though most people attending gyms and health centres are young and healthy.

Many people feel that RTE are ramping up their rhetoric also around the topic of compulsory or forced vaccinations.

Earlier this week, RTE ran a piece quoting Pete Lunn, the head of the Economic and Social Research Institute’s behavioural research unit with the headline “Unvaccinated people ‘finding places they can get in’.

RTE 6.1 news also broadcast a clip showing the President of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen says EU should discuss mandatory vaccination

On Wednesday, RTE published an opinion piece by Dr. Edoardo Celeste, a law lecturer of Law with the first paragraph saying “compulsory vaccination is not a new policy measure and has existed for centuries, yet Covid vaccines have faced much opposition.”

In his opinion piece, Dr. Celeste asks the question; Are mandatory Covid vaccinations a breach of human rights?

Dr. Celeste then answers his own question stating;

“Is this true? (are mandatory covid vaccinations a breach of human rights?)
Many are the fundamental rights invoked by anti-vaxxers to contest the legality of compulsory Covid vaccination laws, from the right to life to personal liberty. The right to privacy in particular is often evoked as a fundamental value that would be violated in case of imposition of compulsory vaccination.”

Later in his article Dr. Celeste states;

“However, the right to privacy, as with most fundamental rights, is not absolute. According to many national and supranational constitutional instruments, including the European Convention on Human Rights, the right to privacy can be restricted if it is necessary and proportionate to preserve other fundamental values.”

Dr Celeste uses two examples from history to show that mandatory vaccinations are nothing new.
“Compulsory vaccination is not a new policy measure and has existed for centuries. In 1776, during the American War of Independence, George Washington ordered his troops to be vaccinated against smallpox. In 1806, Elisa Bonaparte, Napoleon’s sister, mandated smallpox vaccines.”

It is becoming clearer each day. The government here in Ireland are most likely considering compulsory vaccinations and the State media are on board with the narrative.

If implemented, compulsory vaccinations may not just cover covid, but other viral diseases too, like the flu. Not just for one or two compulsory vaccination shots either, compulsory vaccinations could go on for a person’s lifetime (unless you suffer an adverse reaction from a compulsory vaccine and die or get an exception.
