Cold snap grips hard as Dublin Airport records country’s lowest temperature of almost -6C




Met Éireann have revealed that Dublin Airport was one of the coldest places in Ireland this morning.

Announcing the temperature figures for weather stations across the country, the national forecaster confirmed that Dublin Airport recorded a temperature of – 5.8C.

Elsewhere other weather stations recorded the following temperatures Mullingar: -4.8C, Mount Dillon: -4.0C, Oak Park: -3.7C.

Other temperatures were recorded at the following weather stations: Ballyhaise: -3.4C, Grange: -3.1C, Gurteen: -2.7C, Shannon Airport: -2.7C, Moore Park: -3.4C and the Phoenix Park: -3.7C, Casement: -3.0C

The low temperatures comes ahead of another cold night as temperatures are expected to drop as low as -7C.
