The current cold snap gripping the country looks set to continue as temperatures are expected to drop as low as -7C overnight.
According to Met Eireann today will be a cold day with winter showers expected in Leinster and Munster.
The National forecaster says temperatures will range between 1 and 4C throughout the day.
Meanwhile temperatures are expected to plummet overnight with temperatures expected to drop as low as -7C in Ulster and Connacht.
They say temperatures in Leinster and Munster will drop to low as -3C.
