The Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has said that anyone experiencing flu like symptoms should assume that they have Covid-19 and should isolate appropriately.
Speaking at the National Public Health Emergency Team briefing this evening, Dr Holohan said that of you have symptoms you should accept that you may have Covid-19.
Holohan said that the current positivity rate in the community is almost at 25%.
The Chief Medical Officer advised people who are experiencing symptoms to self isolate and act as if they have the virus whilst they are awaiting their tests results.
