There seems to be no end in sight for the current cold spell, as temperatures are expected to sink to -3C tonight, prompting Met Eireann to issue a Status Yellow Warning for low temperatures.
Scattered snow showers are expected on Thursday & Friday night across many areas.
The weather alert will kick in at 9pm this evening and remain in place until 12am tomorrow.
