According to various sources from within the Dail it is understood that a special committee which has been setup to deal with requests has not raised any objections to a massive bailout for the HSE contrary to earlier reports.
The news comes after the Health Minister formally submitted a request for an extra €680m in funds to keep services going to the end of the year last week.
Meanwhile it is also expected that more department ministers will make similar requests over the course of the week. However the Health Minister Leo Varadkar has also suggested that there is a chance the health budget set out for next year will not be sufficient either.
