Concerns grow for Dublin following spike in Covid-19 cases

There are growing concerns over the number of Covid-19 cases being reported in Dublin.

The cause for concern comes as the latest figures reveal that a total of 182 cases were reported in the capital on Tuesday.

Although no local lockdown is planned at this stage, it is believed that NPHET have become concerned with the rise in cases in Dublin and Limerick in past number of days.

Speaking on Tuesday evening the acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn called on the public not to let their guard down and assume that anyone they meet may be infectious.

He added that we must keep adhering to public health advice and limit our amount of contacts.
