The Government is reportedly considering cutting excise duty on petrol to bring down prices at the pump.
Prices have soared in recent days due to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, with some garages selling a litre of petrol at over €2.
If the motion passes, prices will be reduced from Wednesday night onwards.
