In a widely expected outcome, Graham Dwyer has today been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Elaine O’Hara.
Dressed in a navy suit, white shirt and navy blue tie, Mr. Dwyer looked rather calm as he listened to the summary of evidence put together by the prosecution team.
Eleven of the twelve jurors were present at the court today.
After the accused was led away to begin his prison term, a victim impact statement by Ms. O’Hara’s father was read out by senior counsel for the prosecution Sean Guerin. The statement said that the O’Hara family are now serving a life sentence from which there is no parole.
