Convicted thug Graham Dwyer gets denied move to new prison

The killer Graham Dwyer and serial killer Mark Nash have been refused a prison transfer, according to Ireland’s Sunday Mirror.

The couple, who are being held in the G2 wing of Midland Prison in Co. Laois, requesting that they be transferred to a prison in Dublin.

It is understood that the two killers, who were once described as close friends, wanted to be transferred to Arbor Hill Prison, where Nash was at one time serving his life sentence.

A source told the Irish Sunday Mirror that Dwyer allegedly asked to be transferred to prison after being “verbal abuse” by other inmates.

The sex animal, 50, is understood to have come under fire after he overturned his conviction in the murder of childcare worker Elaine O’Hara last month.

A source said: “In the run up to the court case, Dwyer was telling inmates who would normally not pay him any attention, that when he won they would stand a chance of getting off too. He built up their hopes and they were all riding on him winning. He was that confident and gave off such an impression that some inmates ended up looking out for him you could say,” reports The Mirror.

“When he lost his case, the tides quickly turned. Inmates who were once hanging on to his every word now wanted nothing to do with him and there was tension in the air. They were giving him a lot of verbal abuse. Some of the prisoners were very annoyed over this and Dwyer appears to be having to keep looking over his shoulder. He put in for a transfer but it was turned down,” it added, reports The Mirror.

In 2015, he was convicted of the March 1997 murders of Sylvia Shiels, 59, and Mary Callinan, 61, in an assisted living facility on the hospital grounds.

Both women were found dead in their beds. Nash is likely to die in prison after his application to the European Court of Human Rights to overturn his conviction in the 2020 closures was rejected.

Meanwhile, Cork-born Dwyer is understood to be appealing his conviction in the Supreme Court for the murder of childcare worker Elaine O’Hara. The sicko denied being the person who bought and used a phone found in Vartry Reservoir, Co. Wicklow, to send messages about Ms O’Hara being stabbed.

After murdering the 36-year-old, he threw some of her belongings into the reservoir and tried to pretend she had died by suicide. He dumped her body in a forest where she was found in 2013, reports The Mirror.
