Mountjoy prisoner, Paul Duffy, was injured in Love/Hate copycat attack. Duffy was stabbed in the eye.
Another prisoner stabbed Duffy with a temporary knife in Mountjoy last Friday. It is believed that Duffy may lose his eye due to the attack.
The attack is close to a scene that was shown in the RTE series Love/Hate. A similar incident occurred in the visiting rooms at Cloverhill which was also a scene in Love/Hate.
Duffy was treated at the jail following the incident but was then brought to the Mater Hospital.
