Aid workers are warning that the world’s largest refugee camp might become a hotbed for Covid-19 infection once the disease arrives.
The camp, a sprawling mass of tents and makeshift dwellings sited in the Bangladesh’s Cox’s bazaar area, holds hundreds of thousands of people in grossly overcrowded and unsanitary conditions.
The fear is that once Covid-19 takes hold, it might kill thousands and spread further.
