British Airways is reportedly working out details for a deal to temporarily lay off up to 36,000 employees working as cabin crew, ground staff, and engineers.
It is understood that up to 80% of this figure would be furloughed, but they would retain their jobs. The situation of the remaining 20% has not been made immediately clear.
