A total of 403 people died from Covid-19-related causes in England over the last 24h.
The total number of deaths there now stands at 4,897.
While most of the fatalities had an underlying health condition and/or were elderly, some of the victims did not meet these criteria.
Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson remains in hospital due to ‘persistent’ Covid-19 symptoms.
