All European borders are now closed, and will remain shut for at least 30 days as the coronavirus pandemic keeps exacting a deadly toll across the continent.
The unprecedented move follows days of uncertainty and the implementation of severe travel restrictions across Europe and elsewhere.
The closure means that all trips between non-European countries and the EU and the Schengen zone will not be possible for the next 30 days.
Europe has now become the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak.
